Every graduation party senior table needs a card box.
Most guests will arrive at the graduation party with a card in hand and you’ll need a place for them to drop it. There are so many unique and creative graduation card box ideas out there. In this post, I’ll share 5 cute ideas for collecting graduation cards, all ideas that my daughter’s friends (and their moms) created.

Emily’s Card Box
Emily’s box resembles a suitcase, which is a popular trend right now. I like how she used twine to thread the pennants that spell “CARDS.” Also, notice that her name is on her box which is a good idea, especially if multiple graduates are hosting a party together.
Lacie’s Card Bucket
Lacie’s card bucket was darling. She also used twine to thread a pennant, and labeled her CARDS bucket so guests would know to drop the cards there. I love how she positioned it just in front of her table on a short stool and labeled it with her name in blue-painted wood.
Alaina’s Card Basket
Alaina collected her cards in a small basket. You’ll also notice in the photo below that she asks guests to address an envelope. These are the envelopes that Alaina will use for her Thank You cards. I bet her thank you cards have already been sent. This is a great idea, especially if you may not have the addresses of all of your guests.
Kirsten’s Card Box
Kirsten used a small suitcase for her card box. She decorated the inside of the box with fabric and cut letters. See this card box post for details on how we created this one.
Ryleigh’s Card Box
Ryleigh’s box is covered in burlap with a floral decoration. She cut a slit in the top of her box to help secure the contents. While you can hope no one would ever take cards from your box, it does happen. Securing the top is one way to lessen the chance of this.
Hope you enjoyed these five graduation card box ideas!
