Show support for someone recovering from wisdom teeth removal with a get well basket, made with wisdom teeth surgery recovery in mind.
It’s super easy to make a wisdom tooth care package for someone recovering from surgery. In this post, I share information about the basket my daughter and I quickly put together for her boyfriend who is recovering from surgery this week.

Find a box.
Figuring out what you’ll use for your container is one of the first things you need to do. The size of the your container determines how much can fit inside and also determines how you can decorate your care package. If you are delivering the care package in person, it can be in all types of containers. If you’re mailing it, you’ll need a box.
We took a quick trip to the Dollar Tree, the perfect spot for a reasonable container of any size, to find our container. We found this cute blue bucket for $1.
We added the cute tooth vinyl sticker that we made on our Cricut machine. I bought the tooth SVG file here. It allowed us to type anything in the middle of the split image. We decided to simply write “GET WELL SOON.” It only took us about five minutes to make this sticker. Oh, how I love my Cricut machine!
Mailing your wisdom tooth care package?
While there are many sizes of boxes available, I normally use one that is 10″ x 7″ x 4″.
I like this box because it is deep enough to hold various types of items. Click here to see the box that I got on Amazon. They’re available with Amazon Prime, so there wasn’t a shipping cost.
Decorate box.
Some fun decorative ideas follow:
- Cut out shapes of teeth and glue/tape them to your care package.
- Teeth stickers
- Sunshine images are always great for cheering up someone not feeling well
Fill the wisdom tooth care package with food and care items.
There are so many great items that are perfect for your care package. See the ones we chose below. We stuck with smooth items such as pudding, jello, yogurt, ice cream and mashed potatoes. And we tucked in a gift card to our local smoothie shop as a fun bonus!
In addition to food items, we included:
- hand sanitizer
- ice gel packets for the face
- a face mask
- chapstick
Shipping Label
I use Avery labels to address my box. Click here for the ones I use. I love these because you can go to the website shown on the package to find DOZENS of templates that are really cute. They have templates for all the main holidays, for various themes, and basic general designs. An example is shown below.
