Just pour red and blue cake mixes into cones and bake to make these cute patriotic cupcake cones.
My niece and I had a blast making these patriotic cupcake cones. It was a fun twist on the typical cupcake and they were super easy to make.

What you’ll need:
- Ice cream cones with flat bottoms
- Red cake mix (We used Pillsbury Funfetti Radiant Red)
- Blue cake mix (We used Pillsbury Funfetti Aqua Blue)
- Ingredients required to make the cake mix batter (see packaging)
- White frosting or a can of whipped cream
- Patriotic sprinkles
Instructions:
- Place the ice cream cones in a muffin tin. There are actually cool baking racks (shown below) that you can use to hold the cones while they bake, but the regular muffin pan worked for us.
- Fill the cones half full with batter.
- Bake for approximately 17-20 minutes.
- Allow to cool.
- Decorate the top of the cupcake cone with a can of whipped topping or frosting.
- Sprinkle a patriotic topping to finish off your cupcake cones!
