Create a Fall tiered tray in 5 easy steps.
Creating Fall tiered tray decor is easy when you follow these simple steps. My blog pages contain affiliate links which means that I may earn a small commission when purchases are made from the links.
1. Pick your colors.
I recommend picking 2-4 colors for your tiered stand display.
For this 2-tiered tray, I focused primarily on cream and gold colored items. I did use a few items that are silver. I actually found these at Walmart for a very reasonable price. The pumpkins were only a dollar each and the bag with mini pumpkins was under $3.
2. Pick a focal item.
Every tiered tray I make has a focal point. Since this tiered tray decor is short and simple, my focal point is simply a larger sized pumpkin.
Usually the focal point item is larger than the others and it’s placed in a prominent position.
3. Select greenery.
I like to add greenery to every tiered tray I make. It adds color and warmth to the tray. While both live and artificial plants are great, I typically use artificial plants.
Here are some great small plants on Amazon that are perfect for tiered tray displays.
4. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
I like to tie common items or themes throughout each layer of the tray. In this tray, that is pretty simple because it is a tiered tray full of various sizes and colors of pumpkins.
5. Vary heights.
Select items of various heights to create visual interest when creating a Fall tiered tray decor.
You can also use items for risers to create differences in height. For example, the wooden disks and cupcake holders below are great for getting height within your tiered tray. I love to use these in many types of displays in my home.
