This Halloween dessert is so easy to make and is always a hit!
I look forward to making Halloween treats every year and these mummy brownies are a favorite by the whole family. I continue to make these brownies even though my kids are in high school and college.
What You’ll Need
Brownie Ingredients
I always use a boxed brownie mix, but you can make them from scratch if you have a favorite recipe.
Mummy Decorating Ingredients
I love this recipe because it doesn’t require many ingredients. Just grab some decorating eyes and some white frosting. If you don’t have disposable decorating bags, you can use a Ziplock bag. I have Wilton tips, so I used one of those to put the frosting on the mummy.
Make the brownies according to the box directions.
I like to line the pan with foil because it makes it easy to take out of the pan. If you use foil, you’ll want to spray the pan with Pam.
To make these Halloween treats, it’s best to use a 9×9 pan.
Pull the brownie out of the pan using the foil.
Put the brownie onto some parchment paper.
Using a pizza cutter, trim off the edges of the brownie.
Yum, the edges are so good! I don’t throw these away. I cut them into the smaller pieces and they make great ice cream toppings or just a great treat on their own.
To keep the rectangular shapes for the mummys, I cut them into 6 pieces.
Put white frosting into a decorating bag (or Ziplock).
Decorate the brownies with frosting.
Pipe the frosting onto the brownie. Just make back and forth motions with the frosting, working your way down the brownie.
Add eyes to the brownies.
And that’s it! Mummy Brownies
Hope you have fun making these easy Halloween treats.
