Easy Birthday Money Box Gift Idea: A Fun Surprise!

What You’ll Need
- Scissors & pencil – For cutting and tracing the design.
- Square tissue box – Kleenex or Great Value brand works best with my free printable.
- Money – Any denomination, but at least 10 bills recommended.
- Tissue paper – 1-2 pieces for decoration.
- Tape runner or double-sided tape – For securing decorations.
- Transparent tape – To connect the money roll.
- Decorative paper – Print my free birthday money box template to customize.
- Markers, crayons, or colored pencils – Optional for extra personalization.
How to Make a Tissue Box Money Gift
Step 1: Decorate the Tissue Box
- Print and cut out my free birthday money box template.
- Attach the pieces to each side of the tissue box using a tape runner.
- Add the “Happy Birthday” square to the bottom of the box.
- Personalize it with dots, stars, or fun doodles using markers or crayons.

Step 2: Prepare the Box for the Money Roll
- Remove the tab from the top of the tissue box.
- Trace the tab on the blank square piece of paper from the printable and cut it out.
- Remove the plastic film from the tissue box opening.
- Take out the tissues (save them for later use!).
- Attach the new pull-tab label on top of the box.
Step 3: Make the Money Roll
- Lay out dollar bills and tape them end-to-end with transparent tape.
- Insert birthday-themed quotes between a few bills for extra fun.
- Roll the money tight and straight.
- Place the roll inside the tissue box, leaving the first bill sticking out with the pull tab attached.
- Add a few sheets of decorative tissue paper for a polished look.
